Has an excellent mecha feel, the mechs aren’t just robot-shaped characters. Torso twisting is a great feature in the bullet heaven genre. It requires a little more active participation but provides a lot of tactical options in how the weapons can operate. Likewise the different mechs having different slots available for number of shoulder/arm/body weapons (and even firing direction for those slots, if I’m not wrong) is a great strategic choice layer that works for the genre in the context of mecha.
